The horrors of 9/11

Citations:

The above source was a YouTube video that compiled various reactions, films, and explanations of the situation at first hand during the terror of September 11th. I chose this source because it was very specific and had diverse reactions from different critics that allowed me to get different points of views.

This source, although short and repetitive outlines a strong point that caught my eye, which was the conspiracy of president George Bush. Regardless of the many conspiracies out there, I though this source got right to the point with the conspiracy I believed made most sense.

This video, showing Osama Bin Laden explain his motives behind his hate and the attacks allowed me to get a look at the other side of things that are never shown. I chose it because it allowed me to fully understand the situation.

This article caught my eye because of the details that it has and the information that it provides which enabled me to understand more than what the video sources above had to show.

Although it may be Wikipedia, I chose this source because it outlines the motives behind the attacks and the possible hidden reasons as to why Osama Bin Laden took action in this manner.

Reactions:

Expressions unseen for decades, uttered by the repeated phrase “oh shit” was the only sound that echoed the New York streets. Crowds of witnesses blankly staring in disbelief, while those victimized sat and observed in desperation awaiting their goodbye.
“A day of seemingly infinite visibility, characterized by the rare and exquisite conditions airline pilots call severe clear,” outlined the beginning of what seemed an ordinary day in Manhattan. Blue skies and busy streets were only the first phrases to a long story, which was mere seconds for inverting into a complete inferno. “In a little less than two hours, with an almost poetic horrifying symmetry, the symbols and instruments of the cities uniquely air minded culture and of globalization itself; sky scrappers, jets, and the local media, turned back against themselves with a devastatingly lethal impact and effect. Words that represent the devastating truth yet lack the color to the full understanding.
A timeline of infinite ongoing catastrophic events shinned light to day of September 11th. From the pure evil and chaos to the greatest loss of life with no clear and rational explanation, America faced a new unforgiving threat. Once having stood tall, solid in the heart of Manhattan cutting the skies with 100 stories of brilliance to a 10 second knock out fading away as if made of air and dust; the Twin towers collapsed in an abrupt punch which quickly caused the fade of screams and cries to a quiet and steady silence.
An event that will never fully be understood but rather remembered as seen by those individuals who witnessed the tragedy of September 11th. Many questions are yet to be answered but will remain unanswered as to many, answers are no longer useful just the images of two planes colliding and deteriorating the twin towers.

When brought to mind, the bare image of a nation committing treason on it own soil, denying the truth from those victimized and indirectly impacted, causes outrage towards the simple idea behind it. Almost frowned upon as if disrespectful or inhuman, but when deeply pondered upon, one inevitably succumbs to idea of it, almost as if true. No truth will ever be definite or evident enough to conclude the day of September 11th, yet the gaps that remain unanswered draw questions that may be filled from any and every angle. That leaves space for speculations in which case conspiracy takes order. In this case, a conspiracy based on an evident fact publically televised, followed by a statement quoted by president Bush that to this day remains questionable. “I had seen this plane fly into this first building; there was a TV set on and you know, I thought it was pilot error.” Words that simply don’t match the description. A false statement that contradicts the truth, which states otherwise. No footage of the first plane was ever televised or publically broadcasted. The only evident video of the first plane was released on the following day. September 11th was a surprise-coordinated attack therefore leaving no reason for evidence to exit of a footage relating to the first crash.
A clear lie that in my personal opinion must be further questioned and put on the spotlight. Yet due to presidents George Bush power, all remaining question will be left to public speculation, leaving September 11th a mystery to all.

To all images, there lies a hidden description. “Their attitude is not in accord with and not based on either religious, legal, nor even a rational perspective”. A mere look at the justification used by Osama Bin Laden to evaluate the motives behind the attacks, which conclusively were conducted by him. The problem first begins as the picture is only shined on one side hiding the reasons to full truth. All actions have a justification as no mass massacre to a degree as such occurs without evident reason.
“So these parrots joined in, repeating what the wolf said and saying, ‘yes, we condemn the ewe’s butt against the wolf.” The story of the wolf and the sheep used to characterize the situation, which Americans seemingly remain oblivious to. The evident problem in this historical event, which comes without a complete answer due to the lack of light, that subsequently should of shown the whole picture. Osama Bin Laden justified his reasons as valid to proceed with a demonstration of power to his people, which may not fully be understood by all nor accepted as just. All being said, we all believe our reason to manifest are valid enough therefore Osama Bin Laden’s reasons and motifs were justified in the eyes of his creator and people just as America found it just to proceed with its prior attacks.

 Final Statement:
No words will ever properly account for September 11th as only those who witnessed first hand hold the indescribable truth. An undecipherable event that hold strong in the heart of many yet tells a story with missing pages. The morning of September 11th, described by the usual wake of Manhattan along side a breathtaking day known to airline pilot as severe clear was struck by what could be called a horrifying poetic symmetry. A wave of chaos broke out as two commercial airliners struck the world trade center. Inconclusive and irrational reasoning broke out across the streets. Thought to some as a ‘sonic boom’ or a propeller plane but simply none made clear sense. The truth of that day was that the only thing that stood true was the echo that ran the streets as a silent vacuum of indescribable feelings.
In my words, I can’t describe what these protagonists must have felt within. In moments such as these were all sense doesn’t fall together but rather endless feelings of emotion that one can not control, the only thing let is panic and fear. That exactly was the bright and clear skies of Manhattan turned into on September 11th.
Trying to piece together a puzzle that has lost half its parts is nearly impossible but maybe the answers may have lied where the obstruction began. Many to this day stay true to the fact that it was a terrorist attack and don’t hesitate to believe otherwise but one must always consider the full spectrum the clearly understand. Many irrelevant ideas exist behind the collapsing of these magnificent building but one calls the attention to many. The one that oversees the lie that President George Bush stated when first asked upon. Treason describes his actions as all the words he said stated otherwise. . “I had seen this plane fly into this first building; there was a TV set on and you know, I thought it was pilot error.” Regardless of the truthfulness behind this statement no prosecution will take place.
Further more, to my personal belief; the lack of understanding behind this day doesn’t just pertain to the situation that occurred in American soil but rather to the smallest portions that are left out. Osama Bin Laden stuck fear into the eyes of America neither for pleasure nor for fun, but for the incentive to defend his rights that he claimed and believed were violated. America never explained as to why the ‘holy war’ against the United States began and that further explains the motives behind the attacks.
One believes what he wants to believe but when the truth is hidden, opinion is limited to the resources and information available therefore providing a narrow scope. 9/11 will remain a mystery to many as the answered disintegrated along with the buildings. The only thing left now is to remember those victimized and stay true to ones belief, which is hopefully the truest to the subject.

Responce to 9/11

Exposed to a threat unforeseen to their nature, the United States confronted its biggest fear ever presented. Primarily unknown to the public but rather speculated as various unknown conspiracies, the objects that collided into the two-world trade center buildings wreaked havoc on the streets of New York city. This only lead to the break of desperation and missing spaced needed to be filled which ultimately lead to the outbreak of the situation.
From senseless “sonic booms” to more realistic possibilities such as a terrorist attack, the race to understand the horrific aspect of the situation absorbed the public. Yet by nature, when panic strikes absurd reasoning tends to kick in which concludes in more questions to be answered, and that was one of the problems that struck the day of September 11th.
September 11th marked a day to a new beginning for many. Personally this event was no more than a wide spread media event not never clearly captured me due to my age and lack of awareness of the situations going on. Having seen the video footage and live reactions of everyone gave me a fuller picture of the emptiness that filled everyone that day. The lack of knowledge yet the race to understand the situation rose a environment of hysteria for all.
When looking back at how things were handled, I personally would pin down the media as the flawed source, which created the environment for all. Regardless of the fact that the world should know what the situation is, the media shouldn’t be ranting off with speculations and absurd reasoning, causing disturbance to the public, which was clearly already place.

In situation as such where nothing but oblivion is present, only the right answered should be spoken and speculations left to ones own mind.

Weak Without Walls reflection

Submerged underwater, tangled by the opposing currents desperately trying to regain view of the surface. That was my first time surfing. I sat on top of the surfboard concentrating on my balance as it constantly shifted with the incoming waves. My feet thumped as the blood slowed down in my feet due to the cold water. The waves towered over me rising me up and down as they flowed forward. I peddled nearer to shore as the waves were crashing in close. I sat by waiting for the next set to come. The ocean was still but i knew something big was gonna come in soon. I started to feel the rising in the ocean as the set was approaching. I positioned myself sideways to get a good view of both angels. Thats when i noticed something was wrong.
I look back as the wave started to approach me. I realized i was floating right where the wave would come down. I started to panic as i desperately swam away from the wave. My board was glued to the same spot. I wasn't moving anywhere. The wave was approaching at a rate faster than i could react. I decided to start paddling towards it in hope of getting over it before it came down. The wave was meters away. Thats when i came to the conclusion that i was gonna get slammed by the wall of water. At times, desperate measures are the only hope. I had previously been instructed by the guides to never throw the board without a conscious view of your surroundings. I simply didn't care. My whole body rose upwards as the wave was about to crash down on me. I grabbed to board and through it into the blue. I simply braced for impact by curling into a ball covering my head. From one second to the next, calmness changed into a madness. My whole body submerged into a rapid fight of currents. My body was spun around like clothes in a washing machine. Then it was all gone. I rose to the surface and gasped for air. I looked around disoriented looking for my point of reference. The small hut still sat right in front of me. I took a deep breath calmly got back on the board.
I had loved every moment of what had just happened. I had discovered something i never thought i would enjoy. The ocean, the waves, the surfing.

Week Without Walls pre reflection

Surfing has always struck my interest due to my love of snowboarding but my interest in surfing only goes so far due my interest in the ocean which is severely limited. The Chilean waters have always traumatized me due to the cold antarctic waters that is has and i have always feared getting attacked by a shark regardless of the chilean habitat that does not correspond to sharks. My main incentive to attend this trip is because i'm not only going to learn how to surf but i'm going with almost all my closest friends which makes it a lot more worthwhile. I love the beach, and the sunny weather which motivated me to go and alongside that, i had never been to la Serena and some of the most famous islands that we would be traveling to like Isla Damas. The whole idea of going to a sunny beach and staying there for a weak surfing with good friends sounds like paradise and i think its going to be a great trip.

Lack of Identity

Daniel Alacon lack of identity

Lack of knowledge, or the absence of exposure to the world is usually filled in by ignorance or illogical reasoning or in many times a generalized identity. We as people surround ourselves by basic pictures which represent our background in which we use them to identify one another. But there is one thing we don't acknowledge, many of these identities are seen incorrectly. This is the case for Latin America.
Daniel Alarcon, a peruvian writer represents the broken image that we associate ourselves to. A multilateral heritage which has inevitably led to his misinterpretation and a personal lack of confidence. From the example demonstrated in the book where the old lady was misled and wanted to believe that he had prospered having come from a poor family which was all false, to his own personal views on how he regard life. Always looking down at things instead of appreciating the good of what has come.
This issue tends to influence our global image as we constantly corrupt it by tinting it with black ink. We throw layer after layer of misinterpreted thoughts and ideas that eventually we as people produce a whole new idea which is completely irrelevant to the reality that exists behind that image. We paint what we want see and we teach what we want to know but the real truth is redirected and forgot. And for those who are associated with that image hide behind it because its not the truth that people see, its the black ink that they painted on it.

The Islamic State

Like an unwanted weed in a crop field, ISIS, an extremist militant group claimed to represent the voice of allah is sprouting from under the grounds of Iran and Syria. Lead by a self proclaimed caliph, Abu Bakr al- Baghdadi, asserts the shadow of the prophet Mohammed as he claims religious authority over muslims across the globe.
ISIS or ISIL short for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria or Levant consist of extremist point of views. This sunni-extremist group is oriented around an ideology based on the idea of the muslim brotherhood which was the very first Islamic group. This ideology is centered around a salafi methodology which reflects on the messenger of Allah, Muhammad. Muhammad stated the following, “The people from my own generation are the best, then those who came after them”. This concept is grasped with the idea that muslims must follow the example of the first generations, that being the Salaf.
This self proclaimed state promotes an “Islamic belief” based on their ideologies, but they go further than just the promotion of their extremist views. They apply, religious violence which they condemn as appropriate to situations. Individuals who do not believe in their ways are deemed infidels and or apostates. Their governed lands and highly regulated according to the laws of islam, and any small infractions are resulted in harsh punishments such as whipping.
They practise a form of genocide towards religious minorities and even to very muslims in hope of sparking fear which could help migrate individuals increasing their population.
ISIL implies practises that contradict all believes stated by the Qur'an, use the vulnerable minds of small children to create future soldiers by brainwashing them with incoherent lies, and carelessly paint a darker image of muslims than already exist.
These militants portray an idea and a goal, but in reality, they believe in their own lie to cover up for what ultimately is a terrorist organization trying to create havoc and war between states. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is not a descendant of muhammad, he is a corrupt extremist with connections and previous power.

Camila Vajellos Impact

A disguised oppression of injustices swarmed the streets with untold proportions. Voices that were heard but not understood by the right winged government ruled by president Sebastian Piñera. A whisper that eventually crossed path with Camila Vallejo, the president of the student body at the University of Chile. That is the story of the revolutionary stand which impacted the world as student bodies stood up for their voices.
The so called “business” was the word used to describe the educational system run by president Piñera. A right that had turn into a consumers good ruled the chilean world for decades. The result of Camila Vallejos power to bring an uprising of young oppressed, and desperate citizens took the world by surprise as it revealed its hidden and unspoken truths.
Uprisings and protest are the result of discomfort in superior decisions which are expressed through verbal standings. These standings are usually concluded with injury and absolutely no progress nor impact towards the voices of the country. It is only when someone with a proper motif, an enchanting figure, and a voice loud enough to be heard that change will be successful. Thats the answer that Camila vallejo brought forward. Like divine intervention, she struck the heart of chilean protesters and refigured the thoughts of an untouched government. It wasn't the small changes that impacted the world, but her resilience and momentum. A light which flickered in the shadow of santiago was finally starting to light up.
In a world of disagreement, coexistion is nearly impossible without dispute. A result which has been seen throughout history from the encounters of the untouched worlds in the Incan Ruins, to modern day Islamic groups growing as they fight to express in what they believe is the way to life. Revolutionaries are not the answers to conflict, but the voices that express the polished side to things. They speak for the hidden prospect which may not be demonstrated through proper virtue but is the result of a better ending.
Camila Vallejo, a prominent figure in chilean society, demonstrated compassion and a continued perseverance towards what she could call her people. A result that showed not success but strength and hope in the people. She laid down the ground rules for the promonet future which for once was a hidden voice is know a spoken one with meaning.
